Bearing failures
Bearings can and do fail unexpectedly, but statistically bearing failure is more likely to be due to improper application, fitting or maintenance.
Even the so-called "cheaper" brands will offer adequate service if properly selected.
Download either the FAG "Rolling Bearing Damage" or the SKF "Bearing Failures" catalogues. Inspection of the failed bearing may help you locate the cause of the problem.
