UCP (X) 200 & UCP 300 Series

The UCP pillow block consists of a bearing insert with a spherical outer diameter in a 2 bolt cast iron housing. The bearing is usually fixed to the shaft by means of two set screws in the extended portion of the inner ring.

End Caps

 

TR housings from size 204 to 208 are available machined to take TR END CAPS.

The inserts can be either inch or metric sizes. The end caps are NOT suitable for the standard TR housings and cannot be retrofitted.

 


General operation limitations

Pillow block units are suited to applications in which static misalignment of up to 2deg must be overcome, but are not well suited to high speed, dynamic misalignment applications where an internally aligning bearing sytem should be used.

Operating temperature range -20 to +100 Celsius. At temperatures above 70 Celsius grease degradation should be considered as the limiting factor. High temperature units are available to order.

The limiting speed is dependent upon the quality of shaft used (See the Insert Technical section).

Bearings with eccentic locking collars

 

The UCP 200 series is available with inserts featuring eccentric locking collars - TR designation SAP2G series, or RHP NP-EC Series

 

Bearings with tapered bore and adapter sleeves

Both the UCP 200 and 300 series are available with inserts featuring tapered bore and supplied with an adapter sleeve for positive shaft locking on inch and imperial shaft sizes up to 60mm

High Centre height pillow blocks

A less common variation of the UCP pillow block is the UCPH Series which has a greater centre height than the standard unit.
