A small stock range of Module 5, 6 and 8 metric, pilot bore pinions is held that suits the majority of the light series slewing rings.

Larger drive pinions are often tailored to specific project requirements and are manufactured to order. Heavy duty slewing rings usually incorporate a gear correction factor, and this, and the correct truncation must be taken into account in the pinion design to ensure an efficient gear system.

We can supply properly corrected pinions, geared motors and inverters or hydraulic motors to ensure that your equipment rotates smoothly.
Planetary gearboxes are ideally suited to slewing ring applications as they exhibit high torque, low speed operation in a compact unit.
In conjunction with Brown Group, NBC is pleased to offer a range of planetary and other gearboxes covering a wide range of output torques/speeds suitable for most industrial applications. Output shafts (hollow or fluted) can be tailored to the specific requirements of the job; and we can offer a choice of either electric or hydraulic power.
