56mm Solid Light X14 Series slewing rings

Dimensionally the same as the 56SLS20 ball bearing series, the X14 Series has 14mm rolling elements instead of  20mm balls. This improves the rigidity of the bearing system but requires a more rigid structure to support the bearing and ensure smooth rotation.

NBC stocks a wide range of these units with normal clearances and seal types for a wide variety of applications and which are marketed under our QCB® label.

  • SUN X14 Series - Solid section UNgeared units
  • SEG X14 Series - Solid section Externally Geared units
  • SIG X14 series - Solid section Internally Geared units

The QCB® bearings feature location diameters machined into either inner and/or outer ring. These are used to force the bearing into location and roundness, or, when the axis of rotation is horizontal their use ensures the radial load is supported by the housing rather than relying on the shear strength of the bolts alone.

Ungeared bearings < 100mm OD are made in 50Mn steel, larger bearings and all geared bearings are made in 42CrMo4 steel for superior gear strength.

As there are so many variants of these bearings we ask that all enquiries be directed to our technical department for evaluation. Some variations we offer include:-

  • Non standard drilling patterns
  • VITON or labyrinth seals
  • Higher precision bearings with reduced clearances and runouts
  • Zinc plating, black oxide, painted or Nylon coatings for corrosion resistance
  • Non standard lubricants
