56mm Solid Light Series 20 slewing rings
... are so called as the ungeared flanged rings of the 56FLS20 Series are replaced by solid section rings.
This series still maintains a constant section height of 56mm across the full diameter range and the bearings usually have 20mm balls. A solid section ring improves the load carrying capacity and the torsional rigidity of the bearing.
NBC stocks a wide range of these units, with normal clearance and seal type for a wide variety of applications.

Solid section slewing rings sometimes have location diameters machined into either inner or outer ring. This allows any radial load to be passed through the bearing housing rather than depend on the shear strength of the bolts alone. This is not necessarily a standard feature on all bearing brands!
Standard industrial units are usually manufactured in C45 or 50Mn steel, but for tougher applications 42CrMo4 can be used. As there are so many variants of these bearings we ask that enquires be directed to our technical department for evaluation.
