Slewing rings are capable of carrying large axial, radial and moment loads within a compact dimension envelope and they are used in a wide range of machines. Their use offers an elegant solution to the problem of load carrying, stability and power transmission.
Trailer rings or turntables are less capable than slewing rings, but offer a cheap rotation solution under the right conditions.
NBC Group is proud to sell slewing rings made by companies such as Torriani Gianni and La Leonessa of Italy, but we can offer bearing equivalents to those made by BRB Technologies, INA-FAG, Roballo, Roth Erde, Rollix Defontaine, Avon, Taperex, Kaydon, Rossi, SKF, RIMA, IMO, Titanus, PSL, Drecon, Jost, and BPW to name a few!
A wide range of stock sizes (up to 2 000mm diameter) is available (see details in this website); any other designs in ball, x-roller, angular contact, double row, triple row or even wire race bearings can be considered up to 8500mm outside diameter. With a huge database of drawings and interchange information, coupled with our design and selection service, it's little wonder that we are the first call for many clients - either in the UK or further afield.
Our Product Specialist is a Registered Professional Engineer with some 25 years experience of the product, and we believe this sets us apart from many "number traders" in this market. Over the years we have supplied bearings for aerospace and military applications, high radiation area nuclear handling equipment, large diameter offshore applications (with full DNV Certification) and many other "specials".
